WORK HIGHLIGHTS
Time In Service
I’ve worked in the Information Technology field for over 20 years. I managed networks for universities, architechture firms, legal firms, healthcare and now utilities. My roles have been as systems and server administrator, solutions architect, database server administrator, programmer, report designer, and QA tester.
NETWORK MONITORING
Our network was experiencing what can be described as a DOS attack. I deployed network monitoring tools and detected that we were being hit by one particular IP address. We requested our provider to block the address and the attack stopped. I deployed consoles to give our team the ability to monitor the network status at all times.
RECOVER FTE’s
In passing, the HR manager asked me about a report she managed. It took her about 40 hours a month to complete. After reviewing the report and where she queries her data I developed a process to automatically complete the report for her recovering the 40 hours. Automating processes allowed our staff to recover many hours of their lives.
